3 rules for looking after your customers

My recent experiences in opening, transferring and closing accounts reminded me of something I learnt several decades ago:
  • Rule 1: make it easy for the customer to give you their business!
  • Rule 2: make it easy for the customer to keep on giving you their business!
  • Rule 3: when the customer stops giving you their business (whatever the reason), make the exit easy, so they might want to come back to you again!
